# Smit Services

> Smit Services provides cloud support, managed IT and security for businesses with 5–250 employees. Plans are priced per user per month with no long-term contracts. The legal name is Southern Maryland IT Services, Inc (SMIT). The company was established in 2012 and is based in La Plata, Maryland.

Smit Services is cloud-first and works with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS and Azure. It can manage hybrid setups where on-premise connects to cloud, but it does not provide on-site hardware support.
